Can someone tell me how the points work for racing? I'm in A4 and I have no points. But I want to have a go at getting upgraded next year.
Question is if i'm in a CP how can I get points if all the a1,2&3's take up the placings? are points available for that?
If its a GP i understand but not the cp races.

As far as I know there's no points of unplanced A4 in handicapped races. Just have to work your ass off in A4 only races and get a placing. More discussion on this in the "End of A4" thread.

That's why you get a handicap in a CP, to even things out.

Being good in a TT doesn't mean you can handle a higher level of road racing.

Also, if you think about it, a top class TT'er could pretty much guarantee points (particularly with generally a lot fewer riders participating than in road races) with the risk they could rise through the rankings on the back of TT results alone. Getting a result in a road race is much more difficult as there are a lot more variables involved

It seems to me they have simply looked to give very limited points in TTs (national Championships and Leagues of 6 or more TTs) as it severely limits the number of points that could be picked up in this way
