I've noticed some posters refer to the 1st and 2nd halfs of season 5

Is it set up in 2 separate halfs ?

If it is how many weeks/months are supposed to separate them ?

    Cheers

8 episodes will air this year, and a further 8 will air next year (am guessing Summer).

It's essentially season 5 being split in two, although it will likely be referred to as two seperate seasons.

It's a bit ridiculous really, it should be called season 6.

What is the reason behind the massive hiatus again?

Didn't the Sopranos do the same thing with thier last season? I think they called it season 6 part 1 and part 2.

TG4 are the only channel in Ireland who show Breaking Bad. Season 5 probably not until next year. First four seasons are currently available on Netflix.

The Sopranos had 21 episodes in the final sixth season. It really was a bonus having 8 extra episodes.

Breaking Bad is only five seasons (not six like The Sopranos), with only 16 episodes in total. And half-time is a whole year. AMC are taking the píss.

I think they are calling it just one season so people wont give out as much, they will be thinking even though we have to wait a year at least we are getting 16 episodes instead of 13 compared to calling it 2 seasons of 8.

I dont mind having to wait, if thats what they have to do to keep the quality of the show as it is then how can I complain and at least I have something to look forward to for another year :)
