Aircoach or Dublin Bus route 16 bus to Ballinteer?

    Not fussed about ticket price, but which one would be quicker around 8 oclock on a friday night from the airport?

    Aircoach will definitely be quicker once you get on it, it will obviously depend on how long you have to wait for it.

    Yeah was thinking that....
    Aircoach looks like it takes an hour from start to finish, bus looks like it could be up to 90 mins, don't live in ire myself anymore so don't know what traffic's like at that hour. cheers

    According to it's timetable, the Aircoach takes 60 minutes at that time but only departs every hour. There is a bus at 20:15 which arrives in Ballinteer at 21:15. The 16 will take about 80 minutes and departs every 20 minutes at that time of day.

    Cash fare on Aircoach is €8, it's €2.65 on the 16.

    Note, the 16 only departs from terminal 1 at Dublin Airport.

    You'll also need euro coins to pay on the 16, exact fare only (though you can drop more into machine but will only get a change receipt back).
