Lecturing interview but research experience in different area

Hi, I wonder if anybody can advise me please. I have gotten an interview for AL in an IT and have to do a 10 min presentation on how my experience would set me up for this position. I have a PhD and have lectured a bit during this time and I have a lot of experience in helping lecturers with Bologna requirements, and curriculum reform etc.
The problem I have is that although I covered the area of the position in my degree, my PhD and subsequent research is not in this area . So I am wondering if I should discuss my research and then talk about the type of research (or student projects) I could undertake/supervise linking my research with this area, meaning that I would have to start research in an area that I have never done before and would be using techniques that I have not done since degree.
Also, should I spend a lot of the presentation discussing the pedagogical experience I have, including how I worked with lecturers and examiners to improve their teaching?
I suppose what I am wondering is how much emphasis they will put on the teaching as opposed to the research? As my research experience is quite different to the area they are recruiting for, I am wondering whether a HR person saw my degree and presumed I was qualified or does a suitable person from the dept decide on the shortlist?

I think the emphasis should be on teaching as opposed to research. If you have covered the subject area as an undergrad and the skills for your research are broadly similar, you should be well qualified for the position.

Emphasise your presentation skills, and industry links. They like industry links. Discuss possible link ups with industry (guest speakers, work experience, student projects) if you can think of anything.
