My girlfriend is looking to make her first foray into smartphone-dom, and is eyeing up some of the budget models (looking to spend around the €100 mark, maybe €150 at a push, on PAYG). This caught her eye and ever since I've been trying to find information on it - which bizarrely seems very thin on the ground. The only review I can find is from TechRadar, which seems to be more of a first impressions review more than anything.

I know it's a fairly new model, but I would have thought there'd be more information readily available. It seems to have been available in Argos sim-free for a little while now; Meteor have only gotten it in stock in the last week or so, and Three are still waiting for their stock. She's hoping to get it on Three because they have by far the best value PAYG options right now.

Anyone here have the phone? If so, what are your impressions like? It doesn't have to be a superstar performer, just a competent and user-friendly device that would make a good starting point.

Looks like nobody cared as everyone wants the S/U/P.

If she uses her phone a lot spend a bit more and get something less entry level. Worthwhile investment. Ice Cream Sandwich is well made and runs on a lot of hardware but 800mhz single core and 512MB is a little low spec for a phone being bought today, chances are it wont get jellybean as it wont be able to run it properly.

Thanks very much for the reply. I got so caught up in the fact that it runs ICS out of the box (unlike other phones in the bracket) that I never thought about whether or not it would run jellybean. Food for thought.
