    Hey all,

I'm trying to organize a company golf outing at the moment and we've got a good group offer from Hollystown but someone here mentioned it's in terrible condition at the moment, sounds like a possible exaggeration. Has anybody who played it recently got an opinion on it? I know the drainage isn't great there, played it a few months back but seemed fine, but we've had our fair share of the wet stuff recently.

We're not looking for a top championship course or anything but want it to be an enjoyable day out, not up to our eyeballs in muck.

    Cheers lads.

Played it Monday and, altho there was placing on fairways, the course was in fine condition. I played Blue9-Red9 and it was very enjoyable. I had never played the Red9 before & found it the nicest of the three nines.

Greens were in great nick & presumably it has dried out even more since Monday... I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed.

Thanks whipit, we will probably stick with it so if it's in decent nick, don't fancy trying to find somewhere else at this stage :)

Played it sat/sun and although it was a bit wet underfoot the course is holding up alright. Played 9 holes after work on monday and it was noticeably drier with the greens being in good nick.

Granted the drainage could be better but its only noticeable on one or two fairways and as stated its lift and place at the minute.

If you play the Red9 - don't hit driver on the last! Wish someone had told me beforehand... lovely well-struck drive... straight into the drink :(

    It's a 4iron / rescue club and a wedge.
