Welcome to NUIG's wondrous internet services!

Aye, my brother was trying to register earlier, he said it was down. Hardly surprising, really...

*I think* it got me through the registration process rather smoothly this morning, now I'm unsure as to whether I'm actually registered or not due to a few people outlining technical faults at the latter stage in the day. I should probably contact the SCC tomorrow and see if it's all systems go... If you're still having problems with it tomorrow you should do the same and see what the story is. They'll usually give you a date for when they estimate the registration site might be back online, which is as helpful as you would expect I suppose.

Site's working for me now. I registered earlier today fine as well. If it works, you should get a confirmation email to your non-NUIG address.

Timetables are usually handled by the various departments/schools. Fire off an email to the secretary and they'll answer for you (or not, depending on how disorganised they are).

If you have trouble paying it all in one go, I think the Fees Office brought in something last year where you could pay half by October and half by January if that'd ease your finances a wee bit. Here's the link for info.

thanks for that, appreciate it a lot. but no matter which way I pay, its going to be a struggle this yr. 2 reg fees to be payed in my house, plus accom for me. father on short time. SAF really helped last yr. Just pisses me off when I see people getting the grant that don't even need it and litterly spend every penny of it on nights out. anyway, no one wants to hear me moan, cheers for all the help :)

Hey guys sorry to butt in...but just wondering what date does registration have to be completed by?
still running up a bit of confusion as to what exactly my course code should be for this year, as I've swapped over sort of :/

I got the email straight away after registering. Maybe their email servers have a backlog to clear. It doesn't go to your NUIG mail now, it's goes to whatever email you gave when you registered back in 1st year.

    This is what I got
    Dear <redacted>,

Thanks for registering at NUI Galway!

You are registered for <redacted> in the College of Science for the Academic Year 2012.

    Regards,

    Registration Team, NUI Galway

30th September, though if you've changed course codes, I believe you have to send an email to the College secretary to do this, since there's no way to do it online, at least not for when I did it last year going from Unden. Science to a denominated programme.
