    Hi

    Was just wondering how early on weekdays you have to get to Luas Park and Ride in Stillorgan to get a parking space? I would have to get the Luas by 8am so how long before that should I arrive to get a space?

    Thanks a mill

    I suspect early enough - about 8am, but I imagine it is quiet enough during August. Note that there are several other car parks in the area though:
    * Stillorgan Park + Ride
    * Beacon South Quarter Car Park
    * Sandyford Park + Ride

    Note this: http://www.luas.ie/free-parking-carrickmines-pr-aug-and-sept.html but make sure it suits - if heading to the city, you'll pay slightly more for tickets (less if heading for Cherrywood).

    Thanks, I have applied for a job starting in mid September, it is near Ranelagh Luas Stop. I might do a trial run before then to see what it is like.

    What other car parks are in the area? Are they far to walk from Luas and what kind of cost are they?

    I heard about Carrickmines free parking but that would add extra time to my journey driving there and then more time on Luas but thanks for the tip :)

    Thanks for your help

    Regular user of the Stillorgan P&R, never had a problem getting parking there, even after 8am. If I use it, I usually arrive around 8:15 to 8:30.

    If you're going to be using it consistently, there's a car park opposite the Luas P&R which under-cuts them - think it might be a tenner for the week. Usually has plenty of spaces too. It's on the corner as you go past the Aldi, as if you're taking that left for the Beacon.
