Just signed my Nephew up.Figured i owe him, as i took control of his Xbox a few times

SIGN UP NOW: Xbox is giving you the chance to test out the exciting new features coming to Xbox LIVE this holiday, including Internet Explorer for Xbox, through the Xbox LIVE Update Public Beta. Due to the overwhelming demand for the Xbox LIVE Update Public Beta, we will be opening up the beta to additional users. The last beta filled up in a matter of hours so be one of the first to sign up for this public Xbox beta program and see what all the excitement is about!

We appreciate your interest and support in helping us to test out the latest updates. We continually strive to improve our products and we could not do so without the help of our great Xbox community.

What do I do now?

In order to be fully enrolled and participating in the program there are a few more things you need to do.

Visit the Xbox.com Forums and sign in with the same gamertag used to register your console. This will allow us to enroll you in the program's private forum to allow participants to share thoughts about the new dashboard as well as provide feedback to the engineering team.

Review the Forum User Guide so that you are ready to use our private forum to communicate with other program participants and the engineering team.

Review the other information on this site, including how to get Support during this program.

How do I register my console?

To optimize registration for users, product keys for console registration will be available shortly. Once product keys are available, you will see the link for them on the left-hand side of this site. If you already have a Product Key, you can proceed with registering your console. Thanks for signing up!

What to Expect:

As part of this program, an update will be pushed out to your enrolled console(s) that will include select dashboard features including:

Internet Explorer on Xbox

Recommendations

Pins to customize your Xbox dashboard

Other features may also become available during the program and will be messaged via this portal and the forum, so check back often.

I changed the link. Maybe that one will work? It'll ask you to sign in with your Microsoft live account, I used his Gmail that he signed up to Xbox live with.

I had to refresh a few times on the first page, and i got a few error pages too, so maybe their servers are straining...?

I done the last one.

Its annoying as when there is a new update, and there does be a few, you get disconnected from Xbox live.

Very annoying if you are in the middle of playing a game on Live.

How is this a "bargain"? It's a beta. It's going to be free for everybody eventually.

All this means is that you get new, but buggy, features before everyone else..

Right I was half paying attention when I signed up so not sure if I'm fully signed up?

Do I need the the 'product key' now or will I get it later? Or am I even signed up without it?

You just log back into ms connect site and you get a product key, you enter it in the market place. Then a day or so later it will download the beta

You should get it later. I haven't got mine yet either. It says on the website that they will be available shortly, and when they are, a link will appear on the left hand side.

What's IE9 like? Will streams etc... work on it?

I think it's IE10 Not sure about streams, but Java apps won't work, i was told.

I got my code earlier, but didn't get the update then, maybe it's available now, but i'm too tired to check.
