    Hi All,

What is the approx journey time on the 145 from Kilmacanogue petrol station into St Stephens green and what is the cost of an adult daily return?

I need to be in Stephens green for 8.40am.

    Many thanks.

Traffic is light at the moment but may get busier with schools back. The 7.20 bus should get you there in plenty of time.

The single fare is €2.65 cash and €2.40 using Leap card. There is no return fare, however if you're making regular trips you should consider getting a prepaid ticket. You'll find details on the Dublin Bus website.

Would the Bus Eireann route 133 not be an option?

I reckon this is your best option too, it's a dinger! Half the time of a Dublin Bus, nice comfy coach, and only a handful of stops. Kilmac is one of them so it's a gift.

The cheapest option for that type of journey is the Travel90 card which costs €21.50 for 10 journeys.

The '90' refers to the fact that you can use the ticket as often as you like within 90 minutes of the start of the journey and it will all count as one journey so if you are getting an onward bus (DB only, not Luas) from St. Stephen's Green, it won't cost you anything. The machine will say 'free transfer' when you validate the ticket on the second bus.

cheaper to get a 30 day rambler for €115 (€3.82 per day).
it can be used for any 30 non-consecutive days.
