    Hoping someone can advise......
I'm currently on the Back to Education and only on the JA for the summer months.
Was with the doctor today and she has signed me off for a week due to a severe kidney infection.
I brought the cert down to the welfare office and the girl behind the counter looked puzzled, and after a consultation with one of her collegues advised me to go to the CWO for next weeks payment.
    Is this correct?

Doesnt sound right, did she sign you off jsa? Are you claiming illness benefit for the week?
I know someone who had an opperation during the summer holidays while on jsa/btea, so it is possible to keep getting paid into the bank, maybe he informed them first.
