Do we have anyone from Dublin on here?.

I'm looking for somewhere (safe) near the Luas red line where I can park my small camper for a couple of nights in order to see the Tall Ships.

If anyone can help I would think a PM would be the best way.

    Many thanks in advance.

Camack valy camp site is near the red line.

I've seen campers parked up at Bray Sailing club / harbour, you could DART it in. They also got a write up in the paper for paking at the marina at Greystones, again also on the DART.

    Hi Goat

Across the river/eastlink from the point depot (o2) there's Portview House, beside a rowing club and cars are left there over the weekend are never interfered with. You can then walk across the Eastlink or back into Ringsend and over the Locks/Canal Basin where they're hosting a kids area and also an open air cinema. You're just beside Sir John Rogerson's Quay which will have lots of things going on that day. There's also a few nice pubs in the area for a few drinks in the evening particularly the Oarsman which is opposite the church at the end of Thorncastle Street if you decide to park up there.

    Here ya go:

Theres alot of road closures around Dublin and the quays and heading towards the East link for this week.

Oh yeah i forgot about that. I think it was the Samuel Becket bridge, i heard the radio mention, is going to be mostly out of commission to let the ships in.

That for me as an outsider from the wild and woolly west creates a problem:D.
So I'm looking at the help given on the other post re using dart or luas to get in and out.

    Again,

    Thanks.

Thanks for all the help folks but yet another trip that I've now had to cancel for health reasons.

At this rate it'll soon be camper for sale.

Life is a real bitch at times (and then you die).

Sorry to hear that hopefully nothing too serious I've had a few awful viruses this year must be the damp weather.

What damp weather? we've had a steaming hot summer here in Mayo. People suffering with sunstroke
    all over the place
    .

Sorry, just woke up and I must have been dreaming.
