Sharing VPN connection over ethernet

Hopefully wight place for this.

I am currently living in middle east so use a VPN for various things which I wont go into here.

What I am looking to do is connect a laptop to my home network via ethernet (already done) and then connect the laptop to a vpn (again, done) I then want to be able to share the VPN connection by setting up an ad-hoc network with the wireless connection of the laptop.

This is the part I am getting stuck at. Accessing network resrouces is not a requirement when on the VPN WiFi.

Hoping someone has an idea on this as i can not seem to get it to work.

Use a "site to site" vpn link. This means set up your router to establish vpn tunnel to the endpoint. Then any traffic on your side will go through the vpn.

Cheapo routers may not offer this option, but better ones do.

That may be the answer to a question, just not the question I asked.

Anyways, ended up just getting a new router with DD-WRT and installing the Astrill applet to it so have an apartment wide VPN network on which I can enable and disable the VPN as i wish
