Hi, I'm new to Boards and posted this earlier in the wrong section.
I have been searching for running clubs/meets in Maynooth area and none seem to exist. I would be interested in hearing from people in Maynooth that would like to get involved in a regular weekly training session in the area. I'm only recently getting back into running myself and am still building my fitness level. If there's interest in organising some kind of informal regular training group I'd like to hear from you. Best Regards Tony .... ;-)

    Hi there,

I've heard that and I'm going tomorrow evening for first time, looking forward to it!

Would still be nice to meet runners in Maynooth, have a couple of interested replies, will see if more respond.

    Thanks for replying.

You'll meet lots of "Maynoothians" in Le Cheile OP.
As you say there is no club there so a lot of people run with Le Cheile (myself included)
See you there at some stage.

new to this!Checking out the clubs. There seems to be alot of clubs around the area. Donadea,St. Coca's and LaCheile. Was wondering does anyone know which of these clubs would have most senior members and what type races are the people doing(or does the club focus on or the majority do) track, road, cross country or sprinting, middle distance, long distance etc. And for the speed sessions does it cater for people of different levels. Does the college in Maynooth have an athletic club? Thanks

Also have being in area a good few months but am in a club back home.Do the clubs mind if just train with them?

    Tableandchair,

I can only speak for Le Cheile.
We have a large, active senior membership.
Concentration has been largely on road and cross country up to now but the addition of a new tartan track in the near future will see more focus on track too.
The club caters for all levels, very much open to beginners.
