    Hi all

wedding not too far away and i have 2 questions

1.Has anyone here had kiddy bags for the children at the wedding so they wont be bored during the speeches etc? I am only having 5 kids at the wedding ranging in ages from 2-9 and i know from personal experience at weddings that bored kids get off their seats and start running around during the speeches

What should i put in the bags

    2. My hubbys groomsman and best man are both coming from other side of the country. Ones his brother and the others a friend. The best man has no involvment in his stag and didnt go because of work. My hubby only has him as best man because hes his only brother. They bearly have a relationship. Therefore he thinks he shoudnt have to "gift" the best man and grooms man seen as they getting a free hotel room for the night/meal/drink etc.

Where as i think as im gifting my bridesmaids that we should gift the groomsmen also. I was thinking of hubby bringing them for hot towel shave the morning of the wedding. Has anyone any other ideas?

Hot towel shave on the morning is actually a bad idea. As nice as it is, for those not used to it, it's quite regular for them to end up quite red-faced for the day (particularly around the neck) which could look odd in the photos of the day. I'd been planning it myself until my barber advised against it!

If you want to give a token gift, just get cufflinks or something along those lines.

I've been to a wedding where the bride had arranged a special childrens tables with a childrens entertainer at it. Balloon animals and chicken nuggets. There were 30 children though, so it's a different set up to you.

For bags, I would say a few crayons and something to colour on. You can print out some booklets of join the dots and colouring.

    Hey,

we got the men hot towel shaves and they all looked fine, but it could be different faces have different reactions so that is something to bear in mind.

With regards children, we had nine ranging from 3-15. Each guest had a chocolate bar at the their table, so the mothers of the kids took extra and told them that whoever was quitest during the speeches got an extra bar....they all obviously got one but it kept them quite!

Sorry, should have been clearer on that. I know personally I'd be fine as I shave with a straight edge razor on the weekends (i.e. when I have the time) anyway but some men will flare up and since it's a minority that have experienced anything other than their own Mach 3 it's a bad idea to gamble with it imo.

you can get coloring and puzzle book packs and crayons in the pound shop.

I got all the girls from 4 up lip glosses and nail varnishes, hair bobons etc. I got magnetic hangman games and travel connect 4 and cards for them too. I also had taytos and sweets (not choc: their mothers would have killed me if they got choc all over their good clothes :)). Also got colouring books and plain paper too: they went down really well and not a peep during the speeches: they were too excited looking through all the bits and pieces!

Oh and bubbles: bubbles are great!
