    Hi All,
OK here is the story, I bought an 2009 Alfa Romeo Mito 1.4 in March this year. It has spent the last 5 weeks in the garage.

Cylinder misfire, Told it was a vairator issues - Garage replace Timing belt and Vairator (after 4 week delay) was also replaced, Still getting check engine light on. Was told it was another part last week and promised for last Friday. No PArt.

Promised for Monday - No Part
Promised on life for today - No Part

Call from garage offering full service as compensation for waiting.

At this stage just feel like they can replace the car with a make / model of simalr spec...any grounds for this?

Its a lovely drive but this is just stupid now and i have been very very patient.

Did they give you a decent replacement car while this was going on?

If the garage were to replace the part tomorrow so the light went out and the car ran perfectly would you be happy to keep it?

To look on the positive side, if the garage finish the job properly then you'll have an early timing belt change and a free service for your trouble. I'm thinking it would be hard to get money back after six months, unless they just couldn't fix the car. I understand that your faith in the car is probably shaken at this stage, but it may well be a better car now than it was when you bought it. In your shoes, I think i'd be pushing to have the job finished ASAP, and for a decent replacement car for this and any other warranty work.

    +1

And if it was me, I'd chance getting an additional year of dealer warranty for my troubles :D
