Hi guys, I have a HTC desire that will not boot up and stays locked on the HTC screen after a few days when a friend used his Sim card (phone is unlocked) .

Is there anywhere in Tallaght or nearby I can bring it to get it fixed . I used to go to Patrick at mobile phone solutions but unfortunately he no longer operates from a premises.

    Any help appreciated

I usually repair me own HTC Desire so dont know any places around that fix it, except maybe in the square.

To be honest, you can probably easily fix it yourself, if its just getting stuck on the white HTC screen.

Worst case scenario, just flash the stock software over your phone and it should boot up, with the consequence here that it will wipe your phone.

If you can turn it on by holding the volume down and power button and get into the boot menu, then you're grand.

Thanks for the reply, I can get into the boot menu ok and tried the clear storage option without success. Is there an idiots guide anywhere on the net to put the stock firmware back on ?

Edit: found this guide so will give it a shot http://www.htcdesireforum.com/htc-desire-how-to/%28guide%29-rootin-flashing-rom/
