    Does anyone know what the roadworks on the Gort side of Ardrahan scheduled for Tuesday 21 Aug 2012 entail??

    Is it resurfacing / rebuilding of road surface?

    They were due to commence at 07:00am, passed at 8ish and no sign of any machinery or workers.

    No sign of any work being conducted either today, it must be the council that is carrying out the work.

    Roadworks postponed due to bad weather, scheduled to recommence Monday 27th August. Perfect for the back to school traffic. Why can't these things be planned better.

    The roadworks are to consist of re-surfacing, there's sections which require rebuilding due to subsidence, re-surfacing will only be a short fix especially with the heavy vehicles that travel it daily. Great justice to our taxes.
