Got offered a level 8 course but its not the course I want???

    Im a FETAC CAO applicant. Applied to CAO this year. Got offered a level 8 course yesterday but its not the course I want. Id like to apply for a level 7 course instead. This course is on the vacant places list at the moment. Do I need to apply for this or will it be offered to me because it is lower than the course I got offered?
    If I need to apply for it HOW do apply to get a place on the vacant places courses???
    Hope this makes sense.............im just so confused :confused::confused::confused::eek::eek::eek:
