I lost my DL and need to get a new one issued (or an Oz one)

I got this from the RSA:
    Mark,

You have to be living in Ireland to get a duplicate Irish Licence or to renew an Irish Licence for more than 185 days in each calendar year.

You can exchange your Irish Licence for an Australian Licence and when or if you decide to reside back in Ireland you can exchange it back for an Irish Licence.

You will need to contact the Motor Taxation office in Ireland that issued your licence and request a Letter of Entitlement, this will give a complete history of your driving record and you can use this document to exchange your Irish Licence for an Australian Licence.

    Regards,

Does anyone know if Nutgrove are contactable by email? Dont have friends or family with the time to go and explain this to them in Nutgrove.

    Cheers

No point in trying to contact Nutgrove as it's closed since April. They have to go to Clondalkin or Ballymun after they've done this as it doesn't look like it can be online.
    How to apply

The application form D.800 is available from your local Motor Taxation Office and your local Garda Station. This form must be signed and stamped by a Garda in your local Garda Station.

Your completed application form should be submitted to your local Motor Taxation Office and must include the following:

Two identical passport-type photographs, with the back of both signed by you
    The appropriate fee
Photographic identification, for example, your passport

    Where to apply

An application for a replacement driving licence or learner permit should be made to your local Motor Taxation Office.
