My account has been limited for a while and I have tried unsuccessfully to get this resolved via email as i only receive a generic response

I got notification that my account was limited and to check into my transaction history and then to contact them via the contact us button at the end of the page

Problem being that when i log onto paypal I have to enter my credit card number to access my transaction history which they claim may have been compromised and it will not let me check just by logging in and using my password or using my security question or any other information provided when setting up the account, solely my credit card number

we hear about not giving out credit card details due to scams etc, but i cannot do anything without giving my entire credit card number

(so much for security questions etc)

Is there anyway of checking my transaction history without entering my credit card details? and getting the limitation lifted?

    all help appreciated

when you say notification, do you mean an email? Never click on links in an email! for obvious reasons, they say they always use your name if it's legit, but still I would just never click on the links
Have you tried typing the paypal.com address in manually and logging on that way?

Yeah, but that's not Paypal your trying log into. You don't need to enter credit details to view your transaction history.
Look at the web page URLs, Paypals URL starts with https://www.paypal.com/ie and a spoof scam web page would a different url like http://smackthatchickenPaypal.com.

    Call PayPal: 1890 943 220 or (01)4369023
