Need to create video slideshow, or DVD slideshow from pictures...

    Folks,
    I'm a visual goobert and looking for advise...

    I've been asked to put together a video slideshow using various pics, and asked to add a sound-track.

    Now this can either be done by creating a video that I can replay on the laptop, or ideally i'd prefer to create it in a format in which I can just burn to CD/DVD and lob into a DVD player.

    Is there any free software out there that will do such a thing for me without creating a water-mark etc?
