Going to Dublin this weekend, can not wait! Hoping to do a fair bit of shopping in penneys. I'm in the north and we only have primark, it is nowhere near as good! Penneys have better quality and better styles and selection.

Penney's on Mary St has had a make over and now has a massive shoe section!

Penneys have some lovely bits and bobs in at the moment.

    I got a lovely multi-coloured blouse about a week ago for E7.

They have a lovely navy blouse/shirt, with a lace panel at the top of the back, it's E15 I think, though I won't pay that for is because I know after a few washes it will lose it's shape, so I'm waiting for it to be reduced.

What about penneys on o'connell street?

I want to go to dundrum centre, I definitely will have to go some day!

Haven't been in that one in a while but Mary St is very close by and much bigger. It's opposite the Forever 21 entrance at Jervis St Shopping Centre.

Thank you twee! I think I might go there instead, if I can find it that is! I'm not actually that familiar with Dublin city.

Walk from Penneys on O'Connell Street towards the GPO. Once you pass the GPO turn left onto Henry Street. Just keep walking straight from there, you'll soon see Jervis Shopping Centre, Penneys is right across from it. And the Penneys there is a lot bigger than the one on O'Connell Street.

All of the new season stuff in Penneys is great, there's a white blouse with a statement studded collar that I have my eye on. If I remember correctly it costs just under 20 euro and looks designer. It's definitely worth checking out Penneys!

I got a lovely leather jacket in the one in blanch for 25euro yesterday! Exact same as one I had seen elsewhere for 70!! Complete luck I was in there too!

Penneys can be pretty hit and miss, lately i havent been seeing to many nice things, but the shoes and accessories are generally good! Definatley check out the one on Mary st, opposite Jervis shopping centre, it has a much better selection than the one on O'Connel street!

    They stock the same clothes...

You should go out to Dundrum town centre, it's only 15 mins on the LUAS and it's fantastic for shopping, plus our weather is awful at the mo and you have everything under one roof!
Ive been to every pennys in Dublin and Dundrum is still the best! You won't want to shop anywhere else once you've been to Dundrum!

Well I went yesterday to the one on o'connell street, I didn't really have much time because I was going to see a show in the afternoon. But although it's fairly small I got tons of things and was really happy. My favourite purchase was a pair of turquoise shorts with black bows on. I will wear them in winter with tights.

I think unless you are really skinny its hard to find clothes in Penneys. I agree they are great for accessories and sometimes shoes but does anyone find that their clothes just aren't very well fitting? I know they are cheap but...! And I'm by no means obese but I'm not skinny either. I hear people going on the whole time about Penneys but I rarely find anything in there. They are good for knitwear but as regards finding clothes for going out etc. No way for me I'm afraid!

    Sorry for the rant!

That's funny, my friends and I would say the opposite! Primark seems to have the same stock but in nicer colours etc.

hi, just wondering, is there any summer clothes left in pennys at the min, im on holidays in a few weeks and being the silly girl i am ive left it too late to get some outfits :eek: panic station on now and i cant find anything!

hoping for a trip to dundrum this week, any help would be great :D

Penneys in Mullingar has nothing nice in stock at the minute (in my opinion)

The accessories in Penneys are sometimes nice (though it all looks very same-y the past couple of seasons) but the prices seem to have increased a lot recently. A set of rings €5 and they probably would have been €2.50 or €3 in the past, and €5-€8 for a necklace that will only get one or two wears before breaking...no thanks!

Penneys in Mullingar has almost no summer stock left, so i'd imagine other stores are the same. I'm going away next week and left it way too late also. Theres a few sale racks with summery bits on them but 3/4 of it is ugly, and the sizes seem to be all either really big or really small (lots of 6's,18's,20s)

There was a lot of bikinis left too but no accessories, flip flops, etc. that I could see.

They are the same shop but stock completely different stock! I went to London last August and went crazy buying stuff and only one of the tops I bought came in this week :O But generally Primark is much nicer stock in my opinion.

Was down there this evening, and TBH there is not much, they have a one Euro rail with mostly
bikini bottom's but no tops to match.

I was checking out the ones in Dundrum this evening, I've had my eye on it myself, four in a size 20, and nothing else. The hunt continues :)

Penneys bags say operated by Primark - they're the same. But I guess just not all the same stock

Haha I feel the same way! Boohoo, misguided and ASOS still have some summery stock in their sales. I placed an order on ASOS tonight and used "extra10" for an extra 10% off the sale stock, got a few nice bits! Other than that I haven't seen much around, it's nearly all dark coloured winter clothing in shops now!

The sailors who docked in Dublin as part of the Tall Ships festival must have had Penneys recommended to them! I saw different groups of them on the quays from places like Ecuador all carrying Penneys bags when they were on their way back to their boats. Who needs Carrolls Irish Gift shops?? :D
