New iMac

    Just took the plunge and got myself a new iMac , now what are the must have apps and programmes I need ..

    You're probably not going to want to hear this but the iMac is way overdue for an upgrade and most likely it will be very soon...

    sure if i kept hanging on i would never get one, i have it now and love it, just looking for some app/programme pointers..

    Well it's kinda hard to recommend apps when you're not telling us what you're looking to do?

    iStat is a must to get readouts on your system.
    Flux to prevent eye strain.

    Those are just two off the top of my head.

    But yeah there will always be something new, but the new iMacs should have USB 3.0 which is worth it alone. Not to mention the new processors and most likely back to nVidia graphics cards.
