    Hey Folks

Myself and my fiancee are starting the search for our wedding venue. Hoping to get married late next summer aug/sep.

Went to see Village at Lyons at the weekend and thought it was lovely. Only problem was we didnt like the room - its split into two levels by about 20ft!

We loved the small intimate feeling of the place. Does anyone know of anywhere else that would be similar? Looking for something a bit smaller or kind of boutique style as not a fan of standard hotels.

    Cheers

Brooklodge is lovely. There's a nice chapel-style building where you can have the ceremony and the function room is totally seperate from the main hotel in its own building, and I understand the hotel rooms for your guests are located beside this rather than the main hotel. I saw it a couple of times dressed for a wedding and it was lovely, really nice feel to it. Had we not wanted to marry in Dublin it would have been a serious contender for us. The food is also excellent, not your standard wedding food.

What size wedding do you want? Because that will decide on your venue.

Tankardstown house - we had our wedding there and it was awesome. The only other place we had visited was village at lyons and TBH Tankardstown pisses all over it.
