ACCA P1 and P2 or P3

Can anyone help me? I failed P1 by 5% in the June sitting this year and I want to resit it in December. I also want to do either P2 or P3 but I dont know which is the better subject to do. I am studying with Griffith College in Naas.

I have spoken with both the college and ACCA but am still none the wiser which to pick. Pass rates seem to be the same for both subjects even though ACCA told me P2 has the lower rate. College lecture for P2 said P2 is better that P3 as P3 has alot in it. Should I be doing 2 boring theory papers or P2 with a bit of calculations and theory??

P2 is more straightforward than P3 IMO. I'd also try and reduce the amount of time between taking F7 and P2 if at all possible so I'd take it first.

Thanks for the advice. I dont have to do any of the F exams as I got exemptions which is probably a bit of a disadvantage as its 5 years ago since I finished college. Just started the professional stage in February.

Quick question - do you have to complete all of the F papers before beginning to sit the P papers?

I should have exemptions from all but two of the F papers (Tax and FR), but I'd like to do one or two of the P papers before attempting those two ...

You need to complete or be sitting all Fs before you can sit a P paper.

Hello, I want to sit P2 in December. Which P2 should I choose; Intl, Irish or UK variant. I am doing these exams completely by myself through home study, so apologies if this is a silly question! I got exemptions from F1-9 and have recently sat P1 and P3.

Sit the International variant P2 paper, unless you already know you want to be an auditor. The other variants have higher knowledge requirements, therefore are likely to be more difficult to pass as they require a greater deal of work.
