If a word ends in "faí"...

    Déanfaí for instance, what does the "faí" part mean? I think it's the modh coinniollach but does it denote a particular person (me, you, him/her etc)?

    Yes it's the Modh Coinníollach, it's the saor briathar I think...like "(e)adh" in the Aimsir Caite, "t(e)ar" in the Aimsir Láithreach and "f(e)ar" in the Aimsir Fháistineach. "Dhéanfaí rud éigin" translates to "Something would be done", without knowing who did it.
    Déantar = Something is done
    Rinneadh = Something was done
    Déanfar = Something will be done
    Dhéanfaí = Something would be done
