Medicine-6 year or 5 year course?(No biology)

Ok so I'm expecting an offer of medicine on Monday morning in NUIG with my combined score of 749 from the LC and the HPAT. My question is would I be better off doing pre-med or going straight into 1st med? I got A1s in Physics and Chemistry but didn't do Biology for my LC. Would I be at a major disadvantage without a backround in biology if I were to choose the 5 year course? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!:o

    No.

Either way you'll probably have very little say in the matter, I'd imagine they'll throw you straight into 1st med.

Do pre-med. It might be a year that you find easier. Use it as an opportunity to learn other skills in societies/clubs. Don't wish your life away and don't waste the time either.

DO PREMED!! Was a great year and I would do it again if I had the choice!
