presta valve

    have presta valve on my bike but the bit ya screw out when ya want to pump tyres broke,can i get replacement or do i have to buy new tube?

    new tube (schwalbe and vittoria tubes have removable screw bits but i've never seen spares and you would probably struggle to get them out if youve broken the end)

    Get pliers and unscrew the pin from the valve and screw a new one into it. Take one from a spare tube if you don't already have one.

    got it out ok,was just wondering can they be got on there own ?looks like i may get a tube and use one outta that

    It's not to be honest, the pin simply screws in without having to remove the tyre. Once it's fully in finger tight then tighten it be placing cloth over the end of it so as not to damage the threads and tighten with pliers. It doesn't have to be murder tight just tight enough that you can't screw it out with your fingers.
