One of those days sees me with some time on my hands and I went through some of the older stuff on my hard drive and these guys never fail to impress me with their music.

They don't seem to be active these days which is a pity. Maybe given the era of bands coming out of retirement we might see them again...I'm being hopeful.

Anyway, what do others think of this duo? Favourite album for me must be 'Music Has the Right to Children' but funnily enough my favourite track from them is Peacock Tail (The Campfire Headphase).

    Have they ever gigged?

They're making a new album. I love their stuff. Satellite Anthem Icarus or Roygbiv probably my favourites. They have a unique sound.

Tycho has some similar styled music if you are into that retro kinda stuff. Heres an example of a fine tune once it gets going:

My favourite BOC song is 5-9-78.

Resurrecting an oldish thread here but is there any solid news of a new BOC album. Impressed by Tycho though thanks to whoever posted that!

not that I'm aware of anyway, I was just listening to some of their older stuff (Twoism) and just felt compelled to start this thread :)

I was only thinking, given the Electric Picnic 2013 thread/wishlist wouldn't it be amazing to see them play?? We can dream...and considering My Bloody Valentine played a few years back I like to think anything is possible.

I Love BOC, discovered them more than 10 years ago, and still listen to the music very often.

    great relaxing tracks, never boring.

Music has the right to children would be my favourite album, but it"s hard to tell. Good to hear that something new seems to be on its way.

Check out Tycho's first album if you want to hear a very similar sound.

SteveDon posted this over in the Dance Production forum and it really reminded me of BOC. Was very impressed with it.
