Last weekend I set up a betfred account to get a free 50 bet.
I put a 50 bet on and it won I withdrew the money straight away.waiting all week to see it in my account and it never arrived.they sent me a email yesterday saying during a routine security check we found it necessary to suspend your account until you suppy a clear copy front and back of your card
Clear copy of passport and a bank statement.and the money I withdrew is back sitting in my account available for me to use.i am so pi**ed that I have to go through this bull crap to be able to withdraw money .
They had no reason to suspend my account
I deposited once it won and I withdrew once.
I coins understand if there was a lot of transactions but this is ridiculous

Will hill asked me to do this a while back. It's all about proving your age as well. When u lose money it's not asked for tho

I wonder if a 17 year old put on a bet and lost, would they be obliged to give the money back? Seeing as he's never have access to it either way, and shouldnt have been allowed place it

To prevent fraud. Especially when money is withdrawn so quick. People use accounts like this to deposit money and have it collected else where. basically is transferring money by not using a bank. IE cash dropped into a PP shop to be withdrawn elsewhere

There are legal requirements i think to prove you are over 18.

I know people in the industry and they openly say its to keep your money in the account for as long as possible. So you've had a nice win and want to get your money, then suddenly you have to get copy's or cards and passport and some require a utility bill this could take at least a week. That's a week for you to get tempted to have another bet, so come the end of the week you may be depositing not withdrawing.

    one word Gangsters.

Recently set up an account with them,i deposited 50 quid lost, few days later i put in a 100quid lost,a few days later i put in another 50 and i won 450 quid, when i tried to withdraw it they blocked my account and said as i had an account before (maybe 5 years ago) and the address didn't match they were blocking my account and NOT paying me out as it was fraud.

i suspect if i hadn't of won they would have had no problems wit me lodging in more money again and again.surely they are committing a crime with this practice?

Surely you have a case to at least get your money back there, I would press the issue with customer care over the phone.

    op,
if you think betfred are bad try opening an account with coral

im urging anyone whos thinking of opening an account with coral at all to get their account verified before doing anything as that can take a week and they dont let you know when it is verified

good bookie besides as far as i can see
