    I just found this thread now. Got new windows fitted by Senator Windows about 4 years ago. In 3 of the windows the handles broke, couldn'nt open or close them and one of the handles snapped off.

    Got sick of ringing them to call out and repair them so had to pay another company €130 to fix them. Would'nt recommend them to anyone.

    Some of glazing companies do these repairs as do many other window companies. Also search "window repairs"" for your area. Failing that pm me and I can give you the number of a company in Dublin who have done this for me.

    As for cost you have to allow for a man+van time to get to you and do the work and parts, which is not always cheap.

    There is a company in ballyfermot called DGS, they are listed in phone book, no big ad-just their number.

    They supply pvc catches,hinges etc.

    Also there is another company on Northside of dublin called Mila, they are in Killbarrack.

    You can get the "mechanism" inside from either of these two. OR if they don't stock it, they'll give you a silimiar etc.
