Was waiting for a 63 to dun laoghaire the other day at the stop @ kerrymount green so i got to the stop at about 2:50. I know that it goes via carickmines shopping centre + ballyoan but i was waiting 4 it 4 about 35 mins i do one leaves kiternan @ 2:45 but it could not have taken 35 mins just 2 get from kilternan to cornelscourt even going via carrickmines and ballyoan id give it 15-20 mins. I had a great time anyway went 2 see batman great movie and bagged myself a bargain in elverys a pair of f boots and shoes 4 only 65 euro :)

Any chance you could translate this into a form of legible language or common sense, please?

Have you ever thought of writing for the independent or times? You have some potential

    Behave

Your best bet is to check on-line before you leave.

It's a 15 minute walk to Foxrock Church from Kerrymount Green via St Brigid's Park, Mart Lane, Golf Lane and a pedestrian laneway that connects to Springfield Park. The 46a to Dun Laoghaire is more direct than the 63 and goes every 8 minutes. It's also an easy cycle with bike lanes most of the way.

i know but most of the times i have taken the 63 its come within 10 mins so i will keep on taken it. Anyway something it could have been something like a driver being sick or a breakdown. I was thinking of cyling but my bike has a punture at at the moment

    you were lucky then!
just check the real time link that Victor gave above before you go out so you know when the bus is due.

could be any number of things:

I've seen drivers randomly stopping the bus for 5 minutes to chat to a local
alot of the buses used on the route are older ones, so could have been a technical problem (especially the doors)
the bus crosses the luas line twice, so if they're unluck that can take a while waiting
that time of day is in around the school run, so could be stopping a good few times on the way?
could be running behind shedule from earlier in the day and be playing catchup
    etc etc.

as mentioned above, you're just as well to walk up to foxrock church (10 minutes extra max) and you got a 46a coming every 8-10 minutes, and the 46a gets to dun laoghaire quicker because it goes straight down kill avenue instead of going via monkstown farm.
and if it's a quick errand you can use the travel 90 ticket and get there and back for one €2.15 unit on your ticket

There are Stop/Go roadworks in Dun laoghaire at the moment and at times are causing chaos to the shorter routes.

yeah but this was coming from kilternan

Perhaps the service from Dun Laoghaire got delayed and had a knock on effect on its time from Kilternan.

The reason for that they are being withdrawn very quickly. There are only 3 wv's left which are all based in Donnybrook.

They are the only single deckers remaining in the fleet until the end of 2012.

thats a pity routes like the 63, 111, 59 and 44b could use them

Which was in DL 35mins earlier. The bus is losing 7/8mins per cycle at busy time especially after the HSS docks. Only while the roadworks continue.
