Hey - I recently got my eyes tested. Can I request a copy of my results so that I can purchase contact lenses online?

Yes, I have never had any issue getting mine.

Just ask, it's your property. The optician might be a bit disappointed but that's life. If they make excuses they are trying to hold onto it. Some places offer free eye tests but if you ask for your prescription they will want payment as the purpose of the free test was to encourage you to buy glasses.

Always ask for your prescription after an eye test. If it's after the event you can just say you're going to the USA for 3 months and want the prescription in case you lose your glasses.

Another reason to hang on to older prescriptions is that if you change optician, you can show the old prescriptions to the new optician so they can see how your eyesight has changed over the past few years, that will get them off to a good start.
