    Hi,

Could someone help me with this before I have a nervous breakdown!

At SPSS and want to show that there is a difference between two years 2007 and 2010. I want 2010 to score higher than 2007.

Using ANOVA, I get the following:

    Smoke 2007 - F=.375 & Sig=.824
    Smoke 2010 - F=1.967 & sig=.130

Does that mean that 2010 is higher than 2007? My H0 is that 2007 is higher than 2010 & the H1 is that 2010 is higher than 2007. I want the answer to be H1!

    Thanks

For SPSS stuff you could try the science/researcher forum, there a bit contemplative over there so you might be a while getting a response

Your question is confusing. If you're comparing 2007 with 2010, there should only be one F statistic. There are two here - are these within-year analyses? More detail on what you're actually looking at is needed.

Also, just for the record, the H0/null hypothesis is that there is no difference.
