Cops in England turned the tables on drivers who used cameras & phones to take photo's of a crash on a motorway in England.

The cops used their own camera to nab drivers who commited the offence while passing the scene of a serious crash.

Sergeant Nick Gray, from the Collision Investigation Unit said: 'After completing our investigations at the scene of the collision, we were astonished to see so many motorists using their mobile phones to capture an image of what was a horrific collision.

'Because of how badly the driver was trapped, we had a period of four hours before we could continue with our work and after witnessing the number of people using mobile phones decided to use a camera to film motorists travelling on the opposite carriageway.

We're all guilty of rubbernecking but taking photo's as someone is fighting for their life is just wrong.Delighted so many got caught by the police.

I read this last week, I can't believe so many people would want to take pictures of a serious crash, what do they do with them ?!

According to the report I read it took hours to extract the victim who was in a critical condition.

Jesus wept folks, consider your actions in future.

Blame social media. If Facebook, Instagram and Twitter etc... didn't exist then they'd have nobody to "share" their exciting pic with.

I'm sure almost all the pics would have been uploaded to get some "likes".

They should be used a crash test dummies. And that's just for disrupting traffic flow.

Rubbernecking drives me nuts. One of the principal causes of traffic on our roads.

Anything that can be done to help combat it is fine by me.

Great idea for a 'sting' - might get the message across. Run a training exercise then pull rubberneckers in and have a strong word. If they get caught taking pic on the phone - fixed penalty.
