    Hello,

I am a out of work artist who has been offered a commission to produce illustrations for a childrens book. To obtain this commission I have been asked to sign a Tax clearance declaration and give my rsi number. What exactly is this tax clearance form and what does it mean as far as my tax situation goes?

Any info would be much appreciated. As a matter of tax I am wondering if I could be exempt for this particular project too as it is a book involving culture in Ireland.

Have you to provide a tax clearance certificate?

Your RSI is your PPS Number.

As to artists exemption, quite possible. I dont rightly know though.

Tax clearance refers to your tax affairs being in order. You get one from Revenue.

Regarding the exemption, the link is below. You need to speak to Revenue to see ifs applicable to you.
