Reciprocal Playing Rights

So I've decided to take the plunge and finally join a club for the next year. The plan is to take up the full membership deal in corbalis for €700 which will also give me reciprocal playing rights in elm green. The deal they ran last year was from oct 2011 till Jan 2013 and I am hoping they'll renew this deal again this year.

I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping you lads can help me out with.

    1. Can I play in the competitions in elm green or can I just use it for practice?
    2. Does any current members in elm green know if I can use the pitch and putt course as well as this would be very handy to get some short game practice in before work in the mornings.
    3. Is this the cheapest / best value golf membership deal on the north side of Dublin ? Does anyone know of any other better offers out there at the moment ?

    Thanks,

I'm sure I'll have more questions as the thread goes on.

    Cheers

The membership includes all comp fees so that is an added bonus if u played every Sunday they are €5 in most clubs so they usually run to a couple of hundred a year.
The other club i am a member in is Bellewstown full membership there is €650 and i think i saw a deal of €250 from now to the end of the year but i'd say they would do a better deal if you asked. Its around 20 minutes drive from the airport.

Cheers golfwallah. Do you know of anywhere you could see the books from corballis or elm green before I make a decision ?
