Do they still make small RWD cars? Like Fiesta's and the like? I want one to make into a buggy for the fields. Once upon a time there was any amount of RWD, it was actually FWD that was rare. You could just take out all the glass, open up the pump and viola, you had a field go-kart! Ah fun times!

That must have been a long, long time ago....

Fiestas were never rwd either ;)

Get a Fourtrak for the fields as a buggy!

Fiesta was never rwd, old Starlets were, big money to buy them though. An e30 might be the cheapest and smallest rwd easily available me thinks.

    Fiat 126 buggy?

Jimny in 2wd mode with suspension lowered?

No idea of price, but an off the shelf solution would be a Rage buggy -great craic.

Were the Mk1 Fiesta's not RWD? Mine was!

Cant be a jeep, centre of gravity too high. Any car, even a saloon.

Hmmm, an E36 would look mad flying through muck. Might check one out.

The Fiesta was never RWD. Except for a really rare and priceless rally prototype.

OP, keep an eye out for a Beetle, Starlet KP, old BMWs, Volvos, Mercs etc...

Funny enough it will be Easyer to find rwd huge engine car for dirt cheap, then same car rwd.

Look for Opel omega, old Volvo, e36 is easy and cheap to get.

    Newmug,

There was only two RWD Fiestas built by Ford (officially) in the late '70s as prototypes for a new generation of rear wheel drive Escorts (after the MKII) which never materialised. One was mid-mounted like the Renault 5 Turbo and the other (pictured) was FR with a BDA engine.

I can assure you that neither are in your ditch :)

Any old (very old) Opel Omega, ford sierra, BMW (various). why does it need to be small if it is being driven in a field.

big will be cheaper as has been pointed out before

buy the cheapest and commonest and enjoy..(jealous)

    old 740 /940 or 240 volvo with a turbo? :D:D:D:D

    Edit..... Mazda Mx5.....
