Alloy wheel repair!

    Hi folks,

Have a nice set of wheel in the garage, each of them has a small buckle or two however.

I'm just wondering if anyone could recommend someone to straighten them out and balance them!

I was on to Collins in Bray but were looking for €90 a wheel

Could nearly buy a straight set second hand for that.

Dave McCartan of RE Auto in Maynooth quoted me €40 a wheel about 2 months ago when I was enquiring. I decided the other day that I'd get back onto him to organise a booking but the website appears to have disappeared off the net...is he still open?

    Cheers!

Also try Wheel Wizards, I've seen some of their work and they are top class.

    No, they're in Dublin somewhere.

You're thinking of Lepsons who did Voodoomelon's wheels.

I will have to do some more research tbh, don't fancy lugging 2 19" in the boot 2 on the back seats for 200kms, not fun :(

True, I brought my RX8 alloys from Thurles to Carlow to get them powdercoated in my sister's Polo. I wasn't too pushed about the journey there but when I collected them a week later I was raging whenever I'd hit a bump for fear they would chip hah
