    Hi All,

    Quick question for you guys,

Car (00' Corolla) has been very sluggish lately under acceleration and a few weeks ago the Engine management light came on. Brought it to a friend of mine and he stuck it on the computer, error came back was that bank 1 was burning lean.

He reset it and told me if it happens again to bring it back, This morning when overtaking somone the light came on again. So i've no idea what it could be.

Do you guys have any ideas?

    Its the 1.6VVti.

They checked the coils and they didnt seem to have any issues.

Does the car "chug" under acceleration??

If so I have the same issue and eventually got it diagnosed as the air flow meter (or similar) Haven't changed it yet.

Yeah it goes up to about 3k and then chugs, then it picks up again.

Were quoted a price on the replacement?

I was told the part itself is over €200, but he obtained a scrapped part for practicially nothing and it's a quick job. Sounds like the same problem.
