Refund of flights that got changed

I have booked return flights with British Airways to London for next month. I have just got an email from them to say that both times have been changed. The new times don't suit me and I'd rather cancel and rebook with someone else. Am I entitled to a refund in this case or do I just have to put up?

It should have been stated in the e-mail what your entitlements are in the case of rescheduling.

Depending on the time difference between the flights booked originally and the re-scheduled flights (it might be three hours, a wiser Boardsie might oblige) you should be entitled to a refund, re-routing or rebooking.

It's covered under the EU Air Passenger Charter.

The outbound flight is an hour and a half later now and won't get me there in time for where I need to be.

The email doesn't mention any entitlements, only:

    "
We hope you find this acceptable in which case you do not need to contact us.

If you do need to contact us, please see contact details below. Please do not respond to this email, as we will be unable to reply".

Indeed. 90 minutes, however, is a reasonably significant change. I suspect that BA would feel the same.

I'd advise that the OP ring the airline as soon as possible to see what their refund policy is if the flight schedule/time table change. I don't know how recent this link is, but according to it (scroll down to section 9) they only offer refunds if your flight is delayed/changed by 5 hours.

You should ring ASAP they might be able to put you on an earlier flight.
