Car insurance is up and a new option they are pushing is Covering Legal Fees. But is this not a scam? If I get fully comp are my legal fees not covered?

Same thing happened me 2 weeks ago when I went to renew the house insurance. They offered legal cover can't remember what it cost but I only wanted basic cover. The guy explained that if there was work carried out in the house that wasn't completed or completed incorrectly and the trademen disputed that this cover would pay the legal fees incurred. Perhaps something similar?

    I'm assuming it's with 123?

On your insurance you are generally covered for legal liability (your liability to others) this is separate to legal fees (used when disputing a prosecution for a motor offence or claiming for an unisured event that is not your fault such as loss of earnings). Hope that explains it
