Does anybody think that I have any chance of pharmacy in RCSI with 545 points ? Answers greatly appreciated

With the 25 points for honours maths I think it's unlikely unfortunately. I'd imagine most people applying for pharmacy would have passed honours maths and I heard the demand for pharmacy has gone up this year. Hopefully I'm wrong...

i think it was 535 last year was it? So a 10 point increase i doubt i'd say it be more due to honours maths unfortunately. I hope i'm wrong though:)

    Would 540 be enough? :p

I would say the points for pharmacy will probably rise by more than 5 unfortunately due to the bonus maths points. Best of luck to you on Monday anyway.:)

Being realistic, you can probably expect at least a 20 point increase across the board for round one. It may well be more but it's not likely to be any less. The vast majority of my pharmacy class did HL Maths. This year with the increased demand for pharmacy and the incentive to do HL Maths you can be certain of an increase in points.

For anyone applying to Pharmacy, please participate in my survey so we can get an estimation of the points requirement.

I've pharmacy in RCSI down and was really worried about my results but in the end got 580! Doubtful it will go past that! Still worried though, dunno how the points will turn out this year! Does anyone think it'd go past that?

My bet for RCSI would be 545-550*, though it really is impossible to tell. The number of applications were down in 2010 and I thought for sure points would go to 525-530. Turned out that first round was 535* (same as the previous year) and eventually went down to 530* in the final round. Think it was 535* final round last year. It's very unpredictable but there'll be a pretty significant increase I think.

Best of luck to all... hope to see some of ye in RCSI on October 1st :D
