    Hello All,

I am not sure if this is in the right place. Please move if not.

Each time i try to open a PDF file on my laptop these messages start to appear. Screenshots of the error messages are on the attached Word Document. None of the options shown work.

What does it mean and how can i get rid of it?? Any help is much appreciated.

I tried uninstall / reinstall the Adobe reader software to no avail.

    Any ideas?

    Regards,

    Chevy RV

    Try Foxit Reader instead.

Also do a decent virus/malware scan for safety.

Right click on the PDF file -properties and check that adobe reader is the default prog for the file.

It may be an incompatible add-on that would cause it to crash, usually the best thing to do is disable an add-on one at a time and see if you can open the pdf file then.

Alternatively it could be an issue with Internet Explorer, have you been able to open any PDF files when using a different browser?

Came across this error myself and found the culprit to be AVG's browser toolbar. Disabling it fixed the problem. An update for the toolbar eventually fixed the problem completely.
