lads just wondering is there a website that you could find out the amount of land a neighbour has.? not being nosey but a neighbour that has recently passed away. and we are told the farm will come for sale after so long but we were told no more. the amout of land he has is unknown in the area and varies from people saying he has 60 acres to 160 acres.
    any info thanked in advance

think if you know the name or address to can order copy foilio or map from land registry. copy folio is €6 i think . + maps €25. problem is the land could be in several folios but if you know townlands etc you might be able to figure it out

This is FREE and accurate, just zoom in and select 'Historic 25"'. This gives you the 25" osi map which is the same as the old dept of ag maps and the area of each field is shown in acres and is spot on. Also gives you arial photos for 1995, 2000 and 2005 which is pretty cool as you can see what kind of land it is. Good for internet stalkers too! :D

As long as its not spread over different counties an application like cjmc described will show up anything that was owned by the deceased.
Once you have name and address your away.
Provided he was the absolute owner, if you know what I mean.

Just be sure to apply to the Land Registry and the Register of Deeds because the properties could be both registered and unregistered.

If your friendly with your solicitor he/she might get all the info for ya.
