    Hi,

Due to a number of different reasons, my little brother wants to change schools. If anyone has any good recommendations of good secondary schools (he will be entering 5th year) I the Finglas/Glasnevin area, it would be a great help.

He is currently in Beneavin, however wishes to go to St. Kevins. Correspondence with this school has been unsuccessful to say the least and now time is rapidly growing short!

If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very grateful!

    Thanks, LMS

Secondary schools should be getting back to normal this week - most kids are back end of the week - impossible to get anyone during the summer since the teaching staff/Principal are away on hols. Best thing to do would be to call up to the school you want to go to - bring along a recent school report. You may find the Optional subjects will be full by now - I know in the secondary school I work in that the options are done in May so you may not have much choice. To be honest - the reason 'why' your brother wants to move will be the make or break it - if the school needs numbers they will be more willing to take him but if they dont you may find they wont consider taking him on - good luck!
