Just looking for peoples opinions / experiences on running immediately after a physio check up/rub down? Have an appointment this evening and won't get a chance to get a run in before it but would have time for one afterwards. I know I can ask the physio when I go in but just want to have an idea what they might say beforehand so I can plan around it.

They always say no to me when I ask. I have sports massage on Sat, gonna do my run before it.

Get the run done before it if you can, the massage in itself is a workout for the muscles and if you're running straight after you're just building up all the gunk in the muscles again.

Essentially the massage will release all the toxins making your muscles tight/sore into the blood stream so you can piss them out. By running before releasing the toxins via your whizz you're just sending all the crap straight back to your muscles.

    tl;dr
It's better not to run after treatment :pac:

Thanks for the replies. I'll have a rest day so and make sure I make it to the bathroom before my next run :D

That's great use of the Queen's English.

A very ladylike breakdown I thought.

I've edited it just for you guys; :)

Essentially the massage will release all the toxins making your muscles tight/sore into the blood stream so you can pass them out via micturation. By running before releasing these toxins you're just sending all the toxins straight back to your muscles.

I think you should stick to Racoon English :)
