Well guys - looking for some suggestions from anyone who might know how a (former?) journalist might be put to good use. Basically looking for some alternative career direction. Thanks.

    Maybe the Film/ TV industry.

If you have any tech background, there are usually plenty of jobs for good technical writers.

Why a former journalist - what about that role are you no longer able to do, or what aspects do you want to develop in a job?

Public Relations or Copywriting are both well-worn paths out of journalism.
