i have a airbag light on, on 06 renault traffic. it is not on the whole time, but most of the time. i got it pluged in and the code that came up was df003, drivers front airbag circuit. open circuit. just wondering has anyone here had that problem or does anybody know if that problem is in the seat or in the steering wheel or where to start? cheers.

Don't know about the fault code but a lot of the Renault models of that vintage suffer the same isssue, a faulty connector under the drivers seat, not sure what a main dealer will do but a competent auto electrician will remove the seat and bypass the connecter, sorted, main dealers probably will not do this

You probably know that if your airbag light is already on, it probably won't operate in the event of a collision

Was quoted €40 to sort on a 05 megane

Don't know about vans, but on cars this is often due a cable under the seat getting disconnected from it's socket in the floor or is damaged.

Had the same light on a Megane after a passenger stuffed something under the seat, just pushed the cable back into the connector.

Yep, pain in the h*le, even adjusting the seat position can cause the light to illuminate, the connector is sh1te quality
